S10-Series Flex Access Nodes

The OnSite S10-series is a family of ultra-compact flex access nodes that provide a unique, simple and economical migration path toward a converged IP service network. The S10-series are the ideal platforms for 3G/4G mobile network backhaul, secure and scalable carrier Ethernet transport, multi-service aggregation, quad-play connectivity (voice, data, video and mobility), and technology mediation among TDM, ATM and Ethernet.

The advanced modular design of the OnSite S10-series platforms provides unequaled flexibility in their class in terms of service offerings, capacity and functional upgrades.

The following platforms comprise the S10-series product family:

• S1052: 2 STM-1, 8 E1/T1, 2 Ethernet and two expansion slots
• S1063: 2 STM-1, 21 E1/T1 and two expansion slots
• S1063 FX: 2 STM-1 and 21 E1
• S1010: 2 STM-1, 8 E1/T1 and 2 Ethernet
• S1021: 2 STM-1 and 21 E1/T1
• S1023: 2 STM-1, 21 E1/T1 and 2 Ethernet
• S1008: 2 STM-1 and 8 E1
• S1016: 2 STM-1 and 16 E1

The modular S1052 and S1063 platforms support two expansion module slots that allow increasing system capacity beyond the initial base configuration. Additional ports and features only require simple insertion of one of the many available types of TDM and packet data expansion modules. This expansion capability not only protects the initial capital investment, but also gives carriers and service providers the ability to respond quickly to unforeseen demand for new services and higher capacity.

In only one RU, the S10-series supports expansion up to:

• 63 E1/T1
• 18 Ethernet 10/100
• 6 E3/T3
• 6 STM-1 ports

S15-Series Flex Aggregator

The OnSite S15-series is a family of ultra-compact, next-generation flex aggregation platforms. They are the platforms of choice for economical deployment in carrier-class wireless backhaul and IP transport applications. The S15-series offers SDH/SONET or GE uplinks along with flexibility for future services and capacity expansion needs

The following platforms comprise the S15-series product family:

• S1525: 2 STM-4/STM-1 (OC-3/OC-12), 2 GE, and two expansion slots
• S1530: 4 STM-4/STM-1(OC-3/OC-12) and two expansion slots
• S1563: 2 STM-4/STM-1 (OC-3/OC-12), 21 E1/T1 and two expansion slots

Two expansion module slots allow increasing system capacity beyond the initial base configuration. Additional ports and features only require simple insertion of one of the many available types of TDM and advanced packet data transport modules.

C10/C20-Series Intelligent Ethernet Over PDH

The OnSite C10 is a family of ultra-compact Ethernet inverse multiplexer systems. The C10 series is designed for the high demand of IP over Ethernet services in environments where the wide area network (WAN) is still based on traditional E1 circuits. The C10 is typically situated at a remote location or a branch office, working in pair with another C10 or with C20 to provide LAN bridging services.

The C10-series comes with the following configurations:

• C1004: 4 x 10/100 BASE-TX over up to 4 E1 ports
• C1008: 4 x 10/100 BASE-TX over up to 8 E1 ports
• C1016: 4 x 10/100 BASE-TX over up to 16 E1 ports

The OnSite C20 is a modular Ethernet inverse multiplexer system that provides centralized management and redundant power for up to 15 IMUX cards for connectivity to remote C10 systems.

The C10/C20-series support standard Ethernet over PDH, and complies with ITU-T standards for GFP, VCAT and LCAS. The systems also support VLAN filtering and tagging, multi-level QoS and rate control.
